Asele named a Top 50 semifinalist in the GSE Digital Startup Accelerator 2026
Asele was selected for the 9th annual GSE Digital Startup Accelerator and named one of 50 semifinalists in its pitch competition.

Asele was selected for the 2026 cohort of the Global Startup Ecosystem (GSE) Digital Startup Accelerator, and has been named one of the Top 50 semifinalists in its pitch competition.
What is the GSE Digital Startup Accelerator?
Global Startup Ecosystem runs a virtual accelerator for early-stage founders. This is its ninth year, and the 2026 cohort brought together founders from more than 30 countries, building in AI, healthcare, finance, education, climate and more.
Across four live sessions in October, the programme covered:
- Resilient entrepreneurship in the digital age
- Business development and scaling
- Exponential technologies and AI
- Personal branding and global visibility
The Top 50 semifinalists were announced on October 22, 2026, and advanced to the programme's pitch competition.
What this means for Asele
Asele is an AI-powered women's health app built for African women. Being picked from a global cohort, alongside founders building health and AI companies across several continents, is a good signal that the problem we are solving matters well beyond our own community. It follows our acceptance into NVIDIA Inception and the Corti Startup Accelerator earlier this year.
The sessions on scaling and AI came at a useful time, as we keep building features like the Asele Health Brief and grow the app across more markets.
