the whole story

Reimagining women's health, one woman at a time.

Asele is a women's health tech company built on personal history and professional expertise. We build AI-powered tools and community-centred resources that help women track, understand, and manage their health, in ways that actually feel relevant.

From cycle-aware productivity tips to personalised wellness guidance, our whole goal is to help women, especially African women, take charge of their health in a fast-changing world.

where the name comes from

Named after a mother

Asele is named after our late mother, Asele Omerejo Okagua (1962–2000), a psychiatric nurse who spent her life caring for others with compassion and strength.

In our language, Abuan, Asele means choice, carefully selected, or chosen.

We started this company to keep her name and legacy alive.

"A person dies three times. Once when their heart stops. Again when they are buried. And finally when their name is spoken for the last time."

As long as Asele exists, her name is spoken.

what we're about

A few things we won't budge on

Personal, not personal-ish

Guidance that adapts to your cycle and your context, not a generic template with your name pasted on top.

African women, from day one

Not adapted later, not an afterthought. Built for the women who were left out of the research.

Grounded in the science

Founded by a biochemist. We check the receipts before we make a claim, always.

Preventive, not reactive

From early adulthood to menopause and beyond, we help you get ahead of things, gently.

the mission

To make preventive and holistic women's health care accessible, personalised, and culturally relevant. From early adulthood to menopause and beyond, Asele is here to help women take charge of their health and well-being, every step of the way.
